Wandering....

By 1981 we had become disillusioned with our lifestyle: regular 9 to 5 jobs, house and car payments, living from paycheck to paycheck, always looking forward to the weekends to catch our breath, etc. As a result, we quit our jobs, and moved to the North Fork of the American River, camped out in a tent and mined for gold over the next 7 years. Along the way we became caretakers of 2000 acres of wilderness, living in a small cabin, completely off of the grid. Those years have remained some of our favorite memories. We were able to decompress, become grounded and get in touch with our real selves and begin to live our lives mindfully. Charlotte began to paint and sell her artwork, we cut and sold firewood, painted houses, did yard work, cleaned houses, became organic market growers, managed Hickory Farms seasonal stores, worked for a travel guide, ranch and house/pet sitters for 15 years and pretty much followed as Spirit led us down the road. We realized that our "security" was our partnership, no matter where we were or what we did. In January, 2018, we became full time RVers which brings us up to date. Where does our road lead? I can't wait to find out. We invite you to travel with us and share our journey.
